NORAZI BIN NORANI
7 years’ experience in teaching BSc Computer Science subjects, including 4 years of delivering University of Chester modules. Some of his modules are in programming, database and mobile/web application.
Norani earned an MBA from University Technology of Malaysia (UTM) in 2003, to add to his BSc Computer Science and Diploma in IT from the same university. Experienced in delivering IT training (as well as IT system development/deployment) to multinationals, financial services, government bodies and SME’s, back in Malaysia before coming to Brunei to be solely in Academic environment. He delivered the IT projects in his capacity either as a Project Manager, programmer, server/hardware technician and/or web developer.
Norazi as an individual person is known for his modesty that loves to work efficiently and ensures whosoever attends his sessions should be thorough with the concept and excel.
MARIA MCCORRISTER
Maria was born in Colombia, South America where she completed a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management and Tourism Enterprises. As a part of her university training, she worked for the Krystal Hotel chain in Mexico where she learned the overall operation of a service business. Her career in hospitality includes working as a Sales Executive for a Hotel Operator in Santa Marta, Colombia as well as a Rooms Division Manager at a hotel in the Colombian mountains of Villa de Leyva. Both jobs required her to have direct contact with guests where exceeding the customers’ needs was a key factor to success.
After moving to Canada, Maria joined the award-winning team of the Sheraton Suites Eau Claire Hotel in Calgary. During her time at Sheraton, the hotel was awarded the “Best in Class Award for Highest Overall Guest Satisfaction” for 3 consecutive years among 230 Sheratons in North America and with the ALTO Award for Service Excellence.
In 2013 Maria joined Laksamana College of Business when the new Hospitality program started. Since then, she has taught Customer Service and Business Communication courses that focus on developing students’ communication skills and customer service skills. Maria has created customer service programs that include classroom lectures and work placements in different companies, empowering students to put into practice what they learn in the classroom. She has also developed a Business Enterprise course that develops the entrepreneurial and selling skills of students giving them the opportunity to run profitable businesses.
Maria truly believes that it is important to love what you do as it is the key to your own success. She is always thrilled to share her international experience in interacting with customers and delivering customer service, together with her love for teaching.
DR. MOHD KUFAISAL MOHD SIDIK
Co-founder and CEO in V3X Malaysia Sdn Bhd, developed by his partner and himself starting from 2015 focusing on the field of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mobile application development and gamification.. Another 2-years startup company called Warna Digital was created by him and his partner from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia that bring book to life using AR technology that focuses on colouring activities.
Besides that, he is one of the industrial advisor for two Higher Education Institution in Malaysia, Universiti Tun Hussien Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and Kolej MDIS Malaysia.
He graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and completed PhD in Computer Science since last year on April 2018. He did his dissertation under the direction of Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar. The research area related to synthesis of human face 3D modeling. He also contributed his efforts in academic as a part-time lecturer for Foundation Program at School of Professional and Continuing Education (UTMSPACE), and teaching Computer Literacy subject. He worked under UTM as a part time assistant lecturer for ICT Services for Community. Before that, from 2011 until 2013, he worked as a part time lecturer for Computer Programming at Universiti Tun Hussien Onn Malaysia (UTHM). During his university days, he taught variety of computer skills training such as Kinect, computer programming. Dr. Kufaisal has published few research paper and journal for his dissertation.
